The Mineral Water Hospital: An Oral Heritage Project

This project has been in the works for quite some time. It initially started in 2019 and after being shelved due to the pandemic among other things, it is now ready for viewing.

This video showcases extracts from interviews with former staff and patients of the Royal Mineral Water Hospital or ‘The Min’. The hospital was originally built in the 18th century as a hospital for the poor utilising the thermal waters as a key therapy. Through the centuries, it’s reputation grew to be at the forefront of research and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
