TELL US YOUR STORY

Whether your experience is as a member of the public, a patient or as hospital or general practice staff, we want to hear from you. If you or a member of your family were once a patient in Bath and have a story to tell, we want you to tell it to us. Do you live near the former Royal Mineral Water Hospital, later the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, and have memories of significant events there? Do you know something about the Hospital or your local GP Surgery’s history that should be preserved for future generations? Then we want to hear from you!

Recordings of oral histories are integral to Bath Medical Museum’s intention to preserve the heritage and memory of medicine in Bath. Your recorded interview will become part of the archival collection cared for by us, where it will be preserved as a permanent public reference resource for use in educational or research activities.

Get in touch by email and then come and talk to us. We’d love to hear your story!

NHS at 70 Project

We have already begun to collect an oral archive of memories of the Min from patients and staff. To do this we joined forces with The NHS at 70 Project.  This was and still is managed by Manchester University. The recordings are not available via the BMM website, but if you go to nhs70.org.uk you can read about the project and the ongoing NHS at 75 project.
